Chinese Government Scholarship

In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in politics, economy, culture, education and trade between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities.

The Scholarship covers the following items:

1. Full Scholarship covers

●Tuition waiver;

●Accommodation: free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy;

If the scholarship students live on campus, we will accommodate them in university dormitory (usually twin room); if they want to live off campus, we will provide monthly/quarterly accommodation subsidy:

Students for Bachelor/Master Degree: CNY 700/month;

    Doctoral Students: CNY 1,000/month.

●Stipend:

Undergraduate Students: CNY 2,500/month;

Students for Master Students: CNY 3,000/month;

Doctoral students: CNY 3,500/month.

Within the scholarship duration, registered scholarship students will receive stipend from Nanchang University month by month.

Students registering before the 15th of the month (the 15th included) will receive full stipend of that month. Those who register after the 15th of the month will receive half stipend of that month.

If registered student stays out of China for more than 15 days (school holidays excluded), his/her stipend will be stopped during his leaving.

2. Partial Scholarship covers

●One or some items of the full scholarship

Eligibility

-be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health;

-be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs;

-be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

-be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;

Chinese Government Scholarship – University Program

Chinese Government Scholarship—Nanchang University Program is a full scholarship established by MOE to support Nanchang University to enroll outstanding international students for graduate studies in China.

Supporting Categories, Duration and Instruction Language

1. This scholarship only supports MASTER’S students for no more than 3 years or DOCTORAL students for no more than 4 years.

2. Duration of the scholarship, which covers major study and Chinese language/preparatory study, as specified in the Admission Letter, cannot be extended in general.

3. Scholarship students can register for either Chinese-taught program or English-taught program if applicable.

 

Scholarship Coverage

This is a full scholarship which covers

-tuition waiver;

-accommodation;

-stipend;

-medical insurance

 

 

Eligibility

- be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health;

-be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

-be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.

This program generally does not support registered students who are studying in China when applying for this scholarship.

Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship

Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship for international students is established by Jiangxi provincial government. This scholarship is for the friendly, excellent international students (without students from Hong Kong and Macao included) whether he already studies in China or not and covers doctoral degree, master’s degree, bachelor’s degree and advanced students who study in China over 6 months.

Categories of Scholarship

Category A: For international students for doctoral and master degrees (CNY 25,000 in a lump sum). There are 5 quotas in all.

Category B: For international students for bachelor degree (CNY 20,000 in a lump sum).There are 5 quotas in all.

Category C: For students studying Chinese language in Nanchang University for at least half year (CNY 6,000 in a lump sum). There are 5 quotas in all.

Eligibility

(1)Applicants should be foreigners with foreign passport, be kind to China and in good health condition.

(2)Applicants should abide by the law and regulations of Chinese government, conforming to the admission requirements of the school with academic excellence and good moral characters.

(3)Applicants who want to study Chinese Language or any related major for degree program should have relevant Chinese language level and provide related certificate such as HSK certificate or any other Chinese study or exam certificate.

(4)Applicants should not be holding scholarships of any other category at the same time.
